Ghalia Benali is a Tunisian-Belgian singer, songwriter, visual artist, and actress. Her music blends diverse musical genres and cultural traditions, from Arabic and Tunisian folk to soul and Indian classical. Her albums include: Wild Harissa (2001), Romeo & Leila (2007), MwSOUL (2020), Call to Prayer (2020), and In the Footsteps of Rumi (2022).
Khalid Abdalla is an actor, producer, writer, and filmmaker, known for his roles in The Kite Runner (2007), United 93 (2006), and The Crown (2022-23). He produced and starred in the Egyptian docu-drama In the Last Days of the City (2017), directed by Tamer El Said. Nowhere (2024), his debut play as a writer, opened to critical acclaim in London and Manchester. He is also a founding member of three cultural initiatives in Cairo – Cinematheque, Zero Production, and the Mosireen collective – and works regularly with a range of human rights organisations.
