Aïchoucha is an immersive film concert that explores Tunisian musical memory through the lens of contemporary creation.
At the crossroads of documentary, musical performance, and audiovisual spectacle, the project highlights the voices, gestures, and rituals that have shaped an essential part of Tunisia’s sonic heritage.
Conceived and directed by Khalil Epi, composer and electronic music producer, Aïchoucha weaves a powerful dialogue between traditional music (female vocal repertoires, rituals, popular songs) and modern electro acoustic textures. On stage, images filmed at the heart of territories and ceremonies unfold in large format, while the music is reinterpreted live, creating a deep and enveloping sensory experience.
The project questions transmission, the role of technology in preserving regional musical culture, spirituality, and the transformation of heritage in the contemporary world.
It is not a simple tribute, but a living reinvention, where past and present echo each other through a bold cinematic and sonic writing.
Presented notably at the Gaîté Lyrique in Paris, Dream City, D CAF, Nuits Sonores in Lyon, the Festival d’Arles, in Marseille, and at No Border in Brest, Aïchoucha has generated strong enthusiasm from audiences and professionals alike for its artistic singularity and emotional power.
More than a performance, Aïchoucha is a journey, an immersion into the Tunisian musical soul, where image, sound, and ritual merge to offer a rare immersive experience that is at once intimate, poetic, and deeply contemporary.
Doors open at 6.30pm; performance starts at 7pm and finishes at 8pm.
