Palestine is everywhere, co-published by TBA21 and Silver Press, comprises contributions by writers, thinkers, and poets that map the global resonances, and the actuality, of the Palestinian struggle for liberation. The book aims to provide time and space for sustained reflections on resistance, solidarity, and the right to self-determination at this particular world-historical conjuncture marked by unknowability and loss. Weaving together theoretical insight and lived experience, Palestine is everywhere includes vital dispatches from contributors in Gaza as well as academic essays, poems, protest chronicles, and letters from prison. It is accompanied by a digital platform of new artistic commissions and podcasts.

The event will include a reading by the poet Mira Mattar and a conversation between Laleh Khalili and Rahul Rao on the logistics of insurgency and the proximity of the university and the military industrial complex. The discussion will be moderated by Edwin Nasr and Skye Arundhati Thomas.

Skye Arundhati Thomas is a writer and editor from India. Their latest book, Pleasure Gardens (co-written with Izabella Scott), on constitutional law, military occupation, and the relations between India and Israel is published by Mack Books. Their book on the painter Lalitha Lajmi was published by Sternberg Press in 2024. Remember the Details, their debut book on viral images, courtrooms, and a brief history of a protest movement, was published by Floating Opera Press. From 2021 to 24 they were co-editor of the White Review.

Laleh Khalili is a professor at the University of Exeter and the author or editor of seven books, including Heroes and Martyrs of Palestine: The Politics of National Commemoration (Cambridge, 2007) and Sinews of War and Trade: Shipping and Capitalism in the Arabian Peninsula (Verso, 2020).

Mira Mattar writes fiction, poetry and essays. She is the author of Yes, I Am a Destroyer (MA BIBLIOTHÈQUE, 2020), Affiliation (Sad Press, 2021), The Bow (2021), and most recently the chapbook, And most of all I would miss the shadows of the tree’s own leaves cast upon its trunk by the orange streetlight in the sweet blue darks of spring (Veer2, 2023). Her work has been published in Granta, Vittles, the Chicago Review, Berfrois, Mute, Salvage, and elsewhere. She is currently the guest editor of Decolonial Hacker. Mattar lives and works in London.

Edwin Nasr is a Lebanese writer and curator. He has worked with Ashkal Alwan in Beirut, CCA Berlin – Center for Contemporary Arts, and de Appel in Amsterdam. His essays on contemporary art practices and political developments in the Levant appear in n+1, Bidoun, Afterall, The Funambulist, Mousse Magazine, and Mada Masr, among others. He is currently completing his first novel, due to be published in 2026 with Wirklichkeit Books and Wendy’s Subway.

Rahul Rao is a Reader in International Political Thought at the University of St Andrews, and author of The Psychic Lives of Statues: Reckoning with the Rubble of Empire (Pluto Press, 2025).
