Heaven Looks Like Us

George Abraham, Sarona Abuaker, Zena Agha

Date and Time:

Wednesday 29 Oct 2025, 6:30pm - 8pm

Join the UK launch of Heaven Looks Like Us, a landmark anthology of Palestinian poetry celebrating ancestors, descendants, and land, while amplifying anti-colonial and anti-imperialist struggles. Co-editor George Abraham will be in conversation with contributors Zena Agha and Sarona Abuaker.

Edited by George Abraham and Noor Hindi, the collection is both a testament to exile, violence, and grief, and a space for queer and feminist perspectives, eco-poetry, meditations on love and time, and lineages of protest. Daring to imagine a future beyond the nation-state, it gathers voices past and present, including Refaat Alareer, Mahmoud Darwish, Naomi Shihab Nye, Mohammed El-Kurd, A.D. Lauren-Abunassar, Lena Khalaf Tuffaha, Hala Alyan, Fady Joudah, Heba Abu Nada, and many others.

Presented by the Palestine Festival of Literature in partnership with Ibraaz.
