Telling Stories: SF Said
A talk for young readers

- Date and Time:
Friday 14 Aug, 2–3.30pm
- Location:
- Majlis
It's the summer holidays and we're celebrating reading for pleasure! Ibraaz and Burley Fisher Books invite all young readers to join us for Telling Stories, a programme of events which focuses on storytelling in all its forms.
We welcome everyone aged 7 and up to come and hear from Blue Peter and Nibbie Award-winning author SF Said. SF will tell the story of how he went from being a young person who loved reading to writing books. Find out what inspired him to write about Mesopotamian cats who learn the Way in Varjak Paw and The Outlaw Varjak Paw, humans and aliens who become friends to fight for the galaxy in Phoenix, and young Muslim Londoners who meet a magical tyger in Tyger!
Ask all your questions about how an idea becomes a book, and even how to write one yourself – and after the conversation, join us in the Maktaba to get your books signed by SF.
All children attending must be accompanied by an adult. Bookings can be made with a minimum of two and a maximum of four tickets each.
Doors open at 1.30pm; event starts at 2pm and ends at 3.30pm.
