Ibraaz Platform 010 Refresh | Where to Now?
Ibraaz launches September with a series of reviews from Amman and London; an interview with Rasha Salti, curator of the SAFAR Film Festival (running from 14 to 18 September 2016); an essay on Beirut by Natasha Marie Llorens, and a selection of the most viewed items from Platform 010.
Platform 010, launched in May 2016 and culminating in April 2017, poses the following research question: what can the regional politics of cultural production across North Africa and the Middle East tell us about the politics of global cultural production today? An integral element in this consideration concerns an attendant and all too imminent enquiry: what are the most urgent issues affecting cultural institutions and practices across the region, and beyond?
