The magazine inverts the dominant model of English-language journalism by starting with what is already being written and spoken about in the world beyond English – in multiple languages, countries and media landscapes. \u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">Issue #2 features even more translated journalism, reportage and essays from Palestine, Japan, Brazil, Belgium and beyond. She works in support of social justice and community projects including An Viet Archives and Tilted Axis Press, and is a board member of New Tide Media Network, amplifying ESEA perspectives in western media.\u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">\u003Cstrong>Zanta Nkumane\u003C/strong> is a writer and journalist from Eswatini, and co-editor at \u003Ci>Translator\u003C/i>. His work has appeared in the \u003Ci>Mail\u003C/i>&amp; \u003Ci>Guardian\u003C/i>, \u003Ci>OkayAfrica\u003C/i>, \u003Ci>The Republic\u003C/i> and the \u003Ci>New York Times\u003C/i>. He is also non-fiction editor at \u003Ci>Doek! Literary Magazine\u003C/i>and was the 2022/23 UEA Booker Prize Foundation Scholar in Creative Writing.\u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">\u003Cstrong>Sanam Maher\u003C/strong> is a journalist in Karachi, Pakistan, and a contributing editor at \u003Ci>Translator\u003C/i>. Her book, \u003Ci>A Woman Like Her: The Short Life of Qandeel Baloch\u003C/i>, on the murder of Pakistan’s first social media celebrity, was published in 2019, and named one of the best books of the year by \u003Ci>The New York Times\u003C/i> and \u003Ci>The New Yorker\u003C/i>.  \u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0cm;\">\u003Cstrong>Ishan Tankha\u003C/strong> is a photographer based in New Delhi. In his work, he tries to show the extraordinary range of issues that beset a country as large and complex as India, from violent conflict in marginalised states to protests and pogroms in the heart of the national capital to the effects of climate change on remote villages.
