Together they will discuss what it means to uncover forcefully buried stories and truths, and how the case has been reconstructed.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>On 23 March 2025 in Tel al-Sultan, Gaza, Israeli forces massacred fifteen Palestinian aid workers travelling in clearly marked humanitarian vehicles, later burying their bodies and vehicles in a shallow mass grave. Earshot and Forensic Architecture worked with the Palestine Red Crescent Society and survivors of the massacre to reconstruct the incident with unprecedented precision.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Ci>The Last Responders\u003C/i> is an investigative documentary about this massacre. Anchored in the situated testimonies of two survivors, the film draws on firsthand video and voice recordings captured during the night of the attack by the Palestine Red Crescent Society. Through these materials, the film probes acts of execution and concealment, while reconstructing a fuller account of what unfolded in Tel al-Sultan in the hours and days that followed.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Ci>The Last Responders \u003C/i>is a collaboration between \u003Cstrong>Earshot \u003C/strong>and \u003Cstrong>Forensic Architecture.\u003C/strong> Earshot is a not-for-profit organisation producing audio-led investigations for human rights and environmental advocacy, bringing advanced audio forensic analysis to open-source investigations and foregrounding the often-overlooked evidentiary power of sound. Forensic Architecture is a research agency based at Goldsmiths, University of London, developing new techniques and methodologies for investigating state and corporate violence through spatial, architectural and media analysis.\u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0px;\">\u003Cstrong>Doors open at 2.30pm; event starts at 3pm and finishes at 5pm.\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>",[],[106],{"authorName":12,"authorRole":12,"authorPortrait":107,"authorBio":108,"authorUrl":12},[],{"html":109},"\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Samaneh Moafi\u003C/strong> is the assistant director of research at Forensic Architecture (FA) where she provides conceptual and methodological oversight across projects. Since joining the team in 2015, Samaneh has taken part in high-profile investigations such as Situated Testimonies of Grenfell and A Cartography of a Genocide. She earned her PhD from the Architectural Association (AA) with a thesis on Home Rebellion and shared practices of resistance in Iran.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Lawrence Abu Hamdan\u003C/strong> is the founding director of Earshot, the world's first organisation to use sound in defence of human and environmental rights. Built on over a decade of experience and a PhD on audio analysis in legal investigations, Abu Hamdan has established Earshot as the foremost voice in audio ballistics and earwitness testimony. Since 2023 Earshot has been cited in more than 50 stories from leading sources of news worldwide and has provided crucial evidence for advocacy campaigns by organisations such as Humans Rights watch and Amnesty International.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Mohamed A. Gawad \u003C/strong>is a filmmaker and a doctoral candidate at Kunstakademiet i Trondheim, NTNU. His practice draws on found footage and self-implicating methods, employing montage to explore how temporalities are constructed and contested. His works have been shown at Berlinale, HKW and Whitechapel Gallery.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Sara Obeidat \u003C/strong>is a multi-award-winning Jordanian investigative journalist and producer-director. In recent years, she has reported and produced several programs for PBS Frontline and the BBC, working mainly in the Middle East, the United States, and Europe. Her recent projects include producing the BAFTA-winning documentary and multi-award-winning podcast The Shamima Begum Story, Louis Theroux’s The Settlers, and the BBC’s The Other War, set in the West Bank in the aftermath of October 7.
