But on a deeper level it is a story about the ability to rise, to rebuild and reinvent oneself after a tragedy. Holding the past and present in focus together, the film takes us to the tiny village nestled in the mountains amidst the humid Salvadoran jungle, while villagers, survivors of the war’s massacres, recount their journey home at war’s end. Working in collaboration with filmmakers, curators, and cultural partners, Cinelogue brings together under-circulated films and situates them within broader social, political, and historical contexts. Alongside streaming film programs, the platform develops editorial texts, and public conversations that engage with cinema as a space for critical reflection and exchange.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Born in Salvador and living in Mexico, \u003Cstrong>Tatiana Huezo\u003C/strong> graduated from the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica film school. She also holds a Master’s in Documentary Filmmaking from Barcelona’s Pompeu Fabra University. She gained international renown with her first feature film, \u003Ci>El lugar más pequeño\u003C/i>, presented at Visions du Réel in 2011, where it won the Grand Prix for the Best Feature-length Film. The film was then programmed by more than 80 festivals around the world. After the short film \u003Ci>Ausencias\u003C/i> (2015), she directed \u003Ci>Tempestad\u003C/i> (2016), which was presented as a world premiere at the Berlinale. Over recent years, she has taught film in various international academic contexts and also written the book \u003Ci>El Viaje, rutas y caminos andados para llegar a otro planeta\u003C/i>, in which eight documentary filmmakers describe their creative processes.
