She is the founder of Simsara Music and Simsara Records, focusing on independently produced and exploratory Arabic music and working with artists including Maryam Saleh, Maurice Louca, Kamilya Jubran, Tamer Abu Ghazaleh, Nadah El Shazly, and Nancy Mounir. Intentionally small in scale, Simsara operates as a working and curatorial unit which emphasises long-term artistic trajectories, developing partnerships, production structures, and distribution methods that maintain the integrity of music. Before founding Simsara, Sarah spent eight years working in press and media at the Barbican Centre and studied cultural anthropology at SOAS. Much of her work since has taken place across studios, stages, backstages, and the circuits that connect them.\u003C/p>\u003Cp style=\"margin-left:0px;\">\u003Cstrong>GAIKA\u003C/strong> is a multidisciplinary artist working across sound, installation, performance, sculpture, and text. Emerging from London’s electronic underground and shaped by his Afro-Caribbean heritage, his practice explores the politics of urbanisation, diaspora, surveillance, and memory. Blending experimental music, spatial installation, and audiovisual storytelling, GAIKA constructs immersive environments he calls underworld architecture — multisensory systems that engage with Western aesthetics of control, technology, and cultural inheritance. His work considers psychogeography, postcolonial identity, and emotional states not through explanation, but through atmosphere, structure, and sound. \u003C/p>\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Mahdy Abo Bahat\u003C/strong> is an Egyptian artist-filmmaker whose fixation with moving image, field recordings, and street videography came from his need to document the Egyptian upheaval in 2011. He is committed to evoking hauntologies deemed immemorial by ruling discourse. His work has been presented at Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, 25 FPS Film Festival, and Documenta Madrid, among others. His recent feature, \u003Ci>The Cow’s Complaint \u003C/i>(2026), created with Abdo Zin Eldin, was awarded Special Mentions by the Loridan-Ivens First Film Award Jury and the GNCR Young Jury. \u003Ci>The Goose’s Excuse \u003C/i>(2023),received the Short Film Award at the BFI London Film Festival.
