Once home to a synagogue, it later became the London Galvanic Hospital and, subsequently, the first base of the German Athenaeum, a vibrant club for artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs.\u003C/p>\u003Cp>Today, the site’s architecture has been reimagined as a living, responsive framework shaped by the communities it welcomes. This transformation, led by Architect in Residence Sumayya Vally, founder of the studio Counterspace, continues her exploration of architecture as a social and cultural practice.
